About Aurore Abecassis, founder of Acme

After graduating from HEC Paris, Aurore Abecassis worked for 5 years at LEK Consulting and Bain&Co, two international strategy consulting firms. She founded Acme in 2019.

Passionate about new food, lifestyle and well-being experiences and concepts, she spends her free time searching for ephemeral corners, third places, new reception areas, new virtual experiences, and new hotels and restaurants in major capitals around the world.

This allows him to live unusual experiences: an evening in the dark, a night on camelback in the desert, a lodge in the savannah, a teepee in the middle of the trees, or even a capsule-sauna in the forest.

After several years in strategy consulting, Aurore decided to change direction. Seduced by entrepreneurship and events during her coaching sessions at Switch Collective, she embarked on the adventure by creating Acme and its digital platform: the Acme House. The start-up is incubated at Willla, the incubator for women's Tech entrepreneurship.

« The event industry is very competitive, especially for young entrepreneurs. So I used my background in strategy consulting and Tech tools to rethink events », she explains.

Committed to promoting women's entrepreneurship, Aurore has led the Boost'her workshop at HEC entrepreneur, and regularly speaks at conferences. She is also a member of Comète, a private business club that networks women to boost their careers.

Her latest project is AftHER work, a group of ambitious women entrepreneurs that aims to create mutual support within the community and reveal tomorrow's inspiring women.

Acme, the event agency for French unicorns, is accelerating its growth and recruiting new talents

France has become a land of innovative companies and has 26 unicorns this year (source). And this is just the beginning! In 2021, French startups broke all records in terms of fundraising (source) and they are now making a name for themselves abroad.

However, they cannot only rely on technology to perform. To last, to reinvent themselves, and to continue to innovate, they need motivated and united employees who will surpass themselves daily.

In this field where turnover is significant and where teleworking can generate a lot of demotivation, especially after two years of pandemic, there is an urgent need to create cohesion between employees and offer them moments of escape, emotion and lightness. A must to bring team members together and give managers a boost.

However, in the Tech world, "old-fashioned" team buildings are definitively obsolete. To make an impression, it is necessary to add a touch of the extraordinary and push the boundaries of imagination.

It is precisely this ability to go beyond the expectations of its clients that has made the reputation of Acmé, the start-up specializing in events. Renowned for its exceptional events, it has gained the trust of prestigious clients such as LVMH, JO 2024, BNP Paribas...

Today, driven by strong demand, the young company is growing by recruiting new talents and daring to develop internationally.

Acme, the agency that goes from digital to physical… and vice versa

In this era of teleworking and isolation, how can teams be successfully united and enabled to experience immersive experiences that leave a lasting impression?

Acme offers solutions to create extraordinary getaways in unusual locations. This is particularly the case with the Acme House, a digital platform that recreates the link between people in a hybrid way (physical and digital).

Highly innovative, as it enabled Acme to obtain French Tech funding from BPI, the Acme House notably allows for the exploration of the metaverse.

Aurore Abecassis, the founder, points out:

The metaverse can be a real source of well-being when there is real strategic thinking beforehand! It is thus possible to aggregate and resolve HR issues as well as the acculturation of employees thanks to the world of Tech.

Moreover, several steps can be taken to raise awareness of this new technology, notably through experiences ranging from virtual reality to augmented reality, such as the Bal de Paris, or the start-up Eva. The teams will thus gradually become familiar with this new concept.

An intense recruitment campaign

Always in search of new skills and promising talents, Acme is recruiting around ten employees :

  • Right-hand person to the CEO (internship);

  • Project Manager (Permanent Contract);

  • Ops Managers (Permanent Contract);

  • Business Developer (Permanent Contract);

  • Office Manager (Freelance) …

Focus on two events realized in France for Ami Paris

To avoid turnover, companies face a major challenge: managing to disconnect employees from their work environment through collaborative events and retreats, within the same corporate culture.

This was notably the case for Ami Paris, faced with a context of rapid growth and an expansion of its teams. Alexandre Mattiussi, the director, therefore called on Acmé to create two exceptional events intended respectively for managers and employees.

The aim was to take them into a setting that was a complete break from their daily routine, around a theme that would allow them to disconnect and unwind. An enchanting world that also had to be translated into concrete and inspiring activities for their future work.

Always with a guarantee of exceptional service, so that everyone can enjoy a resolutely extraordinary premium experience.

Acme successfully met the challenge! These immersive experiences obtained a customer satisfaction rating of 10/10 and were immortalized by a professional photographer.

The agency for French unicorns is going international

With a solid expertise, Acme does not hesitate to go beyond the borders of France.

The agency notably organized a Learning Expedition in the United States for the “Digital Innovation” delegation of one of its clients.

The goal was to introduce them to the latest Tech trends to identify the upcoming trends of the 2020s and understand the innovations driving the various business sectors (Tech, music, cinema, media, etc.). By combining them with the client's sector of activity, they would emerge with an undeniable leadership position in the market.

To meet and even exceed this challenge, Acme set course for Austin, Texas, to allow them to attend SXSW, a festival where the world's brightest minds gathered to discuss NFTs, metaverses, Web3, video games and Generation Z.

A true new El Dorado of innovation, this little sister of Silicon Valley highlighted for 3 days the best of the creative industries around the world.

During this trip, the Acme Dream Team activated its network and local contacts to guarantee the most innovative experience possible:

  • Creation of an original theme based around NFTs, the metaverse, and Web3;

  • Networking with the most fashionable French and international thought leaders of the moment;

  • Custom definition of conferences for our clients;

  • Support for clients during the festival by the WeAre delegation, the BPI, and Business France;
