Inauguration of the Google Accessibility Discovery Center
An event to mark Google's commitment
To mark the opening of the Accessibility Discovery Center (ADC), Google wanted to make a lasting impression with an inaugural event that reflected its commitment to accessibility for all. To meet this challenge, the company called on Acmé, specialists in the creation of immersive, customized experiences.
The objective? To design an evening that was both institutional and interactive, encouraging exchanges between key players in the ecosystem - ministers, MPs, NGOs and researchers - while showcasing the concrete innovations developed by Google for a more accessible world.
-
The invitation was sent to a selection of institutions, regional accessibility players and influencers, each with a direct or indirect link to the cause. The aim was to create a dynamic that would extend well beyond the event, by mobilizing a broad community around the vision of inclusion.
-
The inauguration of the Google ADC was the key moment to highlight this new space dedicated to inclusion and innovation. This moment symbolized the commitment of a long-term vision, where every detail has been thought out to make a lasting impression: from sensory experiences to inspiring speeches. This event crystallized the idea that accessibility is not an option but a tangible priority. The event laid the foundations for a collaborative adventure that will continue over several months, with workshops, exchanges and meetings designed to help practices evolve in favor of accessibility.
-
The impact of this event was amplified by the presence of influencers and journalists, creating resonance far beyond the immediate circle of participants.
The media coverage thus confirmed the space's potential as a place for reflection and innovation: an influence that will be extended in the months to come through workshops and research work in favor of accessibility.

Technological innovations for inclusion
Acmé's fluid, immersive staging is structured around three key moments:
Conference and exchange with specialized players
Upon entering the Accessibility Discovery Center, guests were welcomed into an inclusive space. The evening began with a conference featuring leading figures committed to accessibility in France. Among them, former Prime Minister Jean Castex and the Minister Delegate for People with Disabilities, Charlotte Parmentier-Lecocq, shared their vision and concrete actions for a more inclusive future.
Acmé ensured that every intervention was accessible to all: real-time subtitles were broadcast on the screens, and a French sign language (LSF) translation service was available continuously.
An inaugural gesture to mark Google's commitment
To officially mark the opening of the center, Google made a significant donation to the FACE foundation, which works to promote accessibility, symbolizing its concrete support for social and technological initiatives.
This moment, captured by influencers and photographers, maximized the impact of the ceremony and amplified the message of inclusivity far beyond the walls of the center.
Interactive tour and innovation testing
Guests were then invited on a tour of the Google Accessibility Discovery Center. The various demonstration areas enabled participants to discover and experience Google's latest accessibility innovations at first hand.
Designed by Acmé, the interactive tour allowed visitors to test :
Vibrating vests that enable the hearing-impaired to feel the music.
A rubik's cube adapted for the visually impaired.
And even a lipstick applicator designed in collaboration with L'Oréal for people suffering from spasms and tremors.
This exploration was accompanied by specialized mediators, trained to answer questions and contextualize each innovation.

Acmé has taken every aspect of accessibility into account to guarantee a barrier-free experience:
Inclusive signage: In collaboration with a specialist service provider, Acmé has developed directional signs in Braille to assist the visually impaired.
Facilities and flow management: The entire space has been designed to guarantee total accessibility - access ramps for people with reduced mobility (PRM), areas dedicated to guide dogs, and fluid circulation zones enabling everyone to participate fully.
The evening concluded with a cocktail reception to encourage exchanges and networking between participants.
A lasting impact for digital accessibility
Workshops and research: the next steps for Google ADC
By imagining this event, Acmé enabled Google to give concrete expression to its commitment to accessibility. The evening strengthened ties with stakeholders, consolidated Google's image as a major player in the field of inclusion, and laid the foundations for a collaborative adventure that will continue over several months, with workshops, exchanges and meetings designed to drive forward practices in favor of accessibility.
